I have let my Outdoor Garden Statue Blog sleep through Christmas and early Winter. My thinking was that people weren’t thinking about their gardens while the snow was flying. Even in Florida, it has gotten cold and I had to cover both my plants and my fountain.
In retrospect, I was wrong. When the thermometer drops so low that your cheeks freeze, you can’t spend much time outside and that is the perfect time to think about your landscape. Now is the time to begin planning for its Summer glory.
To that end, I was reading a post by Bill Robb where he pointed out that when nothing is blooming in your garden, a statue can still make a statement. Depending on it’s composition, if you prepare it in summer with a coat of preservative, It can stand proudly when nothing else is visible. That’s what I call getting your money’s worth.
In addition, there are so many kinds of statues available. You can find something whimsical that will brighten the gray days or something symbolic to help your spirit soar. I think you will enjoy Bill’s article called, “Incorporate a Statue Into Your Garden“. It will give you some things to think about and chase away the cabin fever.

well thanks for sharing these statues. It is incredible.
