Do You Talk To Your Plants?

180px-Monocot_vs_dicot_crop_PengoWhen I was a little girl I used to hear people say that your plants would do better if you talked to them.  I think most gardeners would agree that we tend to develop affection for certain plants and maybe occasionally talk to them but I doubt it is on our “To Do” list.

Last year I wrote a Squidoo page about how words affect our world.  In it I shared how Masaru Emoto did a study on how words affected water crystals.  When you see the pictures, you get a new appreciation for why you need to watch your language.

Last week I was reading the June 2009  Gospel of the Kingdom newsletter posted by Elaine Clark and found a passage where Doctor Parker of Redlands University in California conducted an experiment.  He had two equal plots of land planted with seed and had half his students curse one and the other half bless the other one.  The blest seed germinated early and produced healthy plants while the cursed seed either rotted or produced poorly.

It kind of makes you think about what you are saying doesn’t it?
